I'm going to assume all the old, negative reviews are for previous management/owners, because my experience here was quite the opposite of their currently dismal star rating. In truth, this spot is now going to the top of my otherwise short list of places to eat in Natomas (which I normally avoid like the plague since it's a wasteland of generic chain restaurants). I have been wanting to check out Wayside Noodles for a while- ever since they started competing in the Sac Vegan Chef Challenge- and today after being dragged to Natomas I was treated to lunch here and really enjoyed the food. Service was super friendly, the vegan menu is gigantic, proudly displayed (yay!) and the food was tasty. I particularly liked the vermicelli bowl with the thicker noodles and garlic ginger vinaigrette. I definitely plan to be back and try more vegan dishes.

What a lucky find! I saw this place and had to try it. The Pho was really good! Not many places will add tripe and tendon if you ask for it (delicious btw!). The server was amazing and really made the experience a very pleasant one. I cant wait to go back and hopefully the same server is there again! Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Cleanliness: 4 Value: 5 Quality: 5 I will be returning! You should too!

Came here about 5 years ago didn't have a good experience so didn't bother coming back. Well my husband really wanted PhO and didn't want to go too far, I pulled the reviews and it wasn't bad so we came back and gave them a try. To my surprise it was pretty good. We had the vegan Pho with the crispy tofu skins and veggies. It didn't need any spice or soy sauce it was perfectly seasoned. We will definitely be back again.

Good experience This is my first time dining here at Wayside Noodle. In town for only a few days my youngest brother is here visiting from Germany. He has been living in Europe for some time and was craving for some pho. He was actually looking for a Tung Kee Noodle House which was mostly in the Bay Area. We came here for lunch... Our party of 5 ordered the following: Bo Vien (beef meatballs), Beef Stew Noodle Soup w/ thick egg noodle (when ordering from this section you have a choice of egg, rice, clear or thick egg noodle), Grilled Shrimp & Chicken vermicelli bowl, and for my vegan brother-in-law he got the Lemongrass (stir-fried w/ onions, red bell in spicy curry sauce served over vermicelli). As for me I got the Grilled Porkchop (served with rice and includes a side of sweet fish sauce). My meal came last because it took approx 12-15-min cook time. My 2-pcs of porkchops came bone-in and was tasty and delicious. As long as it's not spicy I'm good. The meat was soft and tender. The restaurant was clean, not very big. Service was great! We had attentive servers and hostess, they were all very friendly. The meal prices was just right. My Grilled Porkchop was only $8.50. Not bad at all. Most of the meals were under $10 (unless you choose a seafood option), not sure if they have different pricing for dinner. Review #0567
